Boy oh boy has it been windy again! Too bad to go out, which was a shame because I wanted to try out my…2nd new camera! Got prints back from the Lumix today, very pleased with them but the Fuji is so much cheaper…decisions, decisions. I will have to really play with them & make sure that I am able to use the facilities, or might as well stick with my point & shoot! Want to do more. I meant to try out the converter today, putting the tapes onto DVD before we lose them, but my head is full of camera manuals! A photo from the new camera number 1? I think so!!!
No need even to think about this one…my decision on anything is based on how it affects others…….I’m a coward, I can’t put my own wants & needs 1st; the get out clause is, I can’t because…..what a sop! 1 day, yes one day, I’ll make a decision based on what I want!!!
Well I’ve got to my second Sunday! I’ve made a hash some days, forgetting to write, but that will get easier with habit I’m sure. Had a really nice week, my birthday, an outing to the Trafford Centre, another to Salford Quays…all finished off nicely today with a cream tea at La Chocolatier in Manchester with my husband & daughters, for me a busy week!
The big plus is I’ve felt quite well, shush, not too loud! Also I’ve had my techy bits to play with, not there yet with it, but I will do! A birthday tea photo? Yes, I think so.
I did it again didn’t I yesterday! Forgot to write…well I was that busy with my new camera playing with it & also with a gizmo I’ve got to convert our VHS to DVD…thought I had it sussed but was a bit previous. Tried to do it via the camcorder but it wasn’t having it. So today had a re think, will try from the last video player we own tomorrow!
Yup, I forgot to post last night…think it’ll take me time to get into the habit. Anyway didn’t do much yesterday, spent most of the day playing with the Lumix, loving it!!!
Been back from the Lowry Centre for about 2 hrs. Had a great time! Never been before didn’t realise how many great shops were there. Bought a Lowry canvas with money from the girls for my birthday…was going to have a Jessica gel manicure, but thought the canvas will be with me forever, I’ll get nails done myself. Took some great photos on the new camera, the zoom is fantastic!
The question today was about giving things up…I’ve had to give up a job I loved because of bad health, but I think if I hadn’t I wouldn’t be here to write this! I’ve had to give up someone I love, but sometimes other things come before your own happiness, eg family. So my decision is that giving up on things CAN be good.

Just a little extra…my great niece Lola Mae who was born in March. Her daddy, my nephew James & her Granddad my brother in law Norman brought her to see us on Sunday 4th…to quote a song, “isn’t she lovely!”

Had a very lazy day yesterday, didn’t go out, recovering from all the excitement of my birthday! The camera arrrived from QVC so had lots of fun getting to know my way around it, looks good so far! Waiting for a rain free day now so can go out for a walk & test it. The good thing is, if it’s not what I want it goes back! Can’t do that in a shop! So that was Weds 7th Sept 2011, better get on with the 8th!
Had a GREAT day…even though I fell asleep in the cinema! Eaten far far too much…I daren’t go back to WW till I’ve lost a stone! Pleased with myself that I got out, & coped…took a few pills but what the heck, if I needed insulin nobody would give a damn! Fight for mental health rights!!! I think I should take my pills & go to bed…so although it’s officially the 7th Sept, this is my post for the 6th! I’m 58 now, my wrinkles have wrinkles! Goodnight, God bless x
